Driver Killed In Route 49 Crash In South Jersey (Update) A 72-year-old driver from Florida was killed in a crash along Route 49 in Atlantic County, authorities said. Troopers responded to the crash at about 8 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, on Route 49 West at milepost 49 in Estell Manor, according to New Jersey State Police spokesman Sgt. Charles Marchan. Based on a preliminary investigation, Mark Jones of Cape Coral, FL, was driving a Ford Escape when it traveled off the road and struck a tree, Marchan said. The crash occurred at about 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11 on Route 50 near 11th Avenue and Grant Street in Estell Manor, the New Jersey Department of Transporation said. Motorcyclist, 68, Killed In South Jersey Crash: Police A 68-year-old motorcycle rider from Atlantic County was killed in a weekend crash, authorities said. Gorman Carey of Estell Manor crashed on Sunday, Feb. 27 near Harding Highway and Walkers Forge Road in Mays Landing, according to Hamilton Township police. Carey was pronounced dead at the crash scene, police said. The crash is currently under investigation by the Township of Hamilton Police Department. The Atlantic County Medical Examiner’s Office assisted on scene.

South Jersey Man Struck By 2 Cars Dies A 45-year-old pedestrian was killed when he tried to cross a busy five-lane highway in South Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred on Friday at 8:29 p.m, in the 700 block of Mullica Hill Road (Route 322), according to Harrison Township police.  John M. Johnston of Paulsboro attempted to cross Mullica Hill Road where there are three eastbound lanes and two westbound lanes, Harrison police said. South Jersey Teen Reported Missing New Jersey State Police are seeking the public's help locating an Atlantic County teen reported missing two days ago.  State troopers issued a "missing juvenile" alert on Friday for Chloe Weisgerber, 16, of Estell Manor.  Chloe was last seen on Wednesday night at her home on Cape May Avenue, State Police said.
