Search For Body Underway At Delaware River In Trenton:
Developing
Emergency crews are attempting to recover a body from the Delaware River in Trenton, developing reports say. The local fire department was called to assist with the recovery effort near Lambert Street shortly before 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, according to initial and unconfirmed reports. The body was seen about 30 feet from the ramp in the Delaware River, the initial report says. Authorities did not immediately return DailyVoice.com’s request for additional details. Body Of Missing Delaware River Swimmer Found
The body of a swimmer who went missing last week in the Delaware River was found over the weekend, WFMZ reports. Christopher Schofield's body was found by a park visitor around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, near Kittatinny Point within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, the outlet said. The 23-year-old Stroudsburg man had last been seen around 8 p.m. Tuesday, when he tried to swim across the river from Prices Landing, to New Jersey. Click here for more from WFMZ.

Search Launched For Missing PA Swimmer In Delaware River
National and local police agencies were searching for a 23-year-old Pennsylvania man who went missing while swimming in the Delaware River Tuesday, June 21, WFMZ reports. Christopher Schofield, of Stroudsburg, was swimming with two others in a section of the river with strong currents when he began to struggle and submerged near the Interstate 80 toll bridge around 8 p.m., the outlet says citing the National Park Service. The Coast Guard and local fire agencies responded to a barge fire approximately 9 miles south of Port Mahon. There were six fire boats from local fire agencies actively fighting the fire.
