A pedestrian was struck and killed on Route 38 in Cherry Hill, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 11 p.m. on Friday, July 26, according to the New Jersey State Police fatal statistics web page. Route 38 westbound was closed between Haddonfield Road and Chapel Avenue, according to Cherry Hill police. No other details were immediately available.

A Pennsylvania man has been charged in connection with a fatal high-speed crash in South Jersey, authorities said. Theresa Karbach, 69, of Cherry Hill, died as a result of injuries from the crash in Lawnside on May 13 at about 9:30 p.m., according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay. A Cherry Hill man has been sentenced to 40 years in New Jersey State Prison for murdering his ex-wife, authorities said. On April 3, 2024, Philip Puche, 76, was convicted of first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, second-degree burglary, and weapons offenses in connection to the death of Nancy Kenny on March 15, 2021. A 53-year-old pickup truck driver from Cherry Hill was killed after a collision with a garbage truck in Gloucester County, authorities said.
