Motorcyclist Killed By Tractor-Trailer After Crashing Into SUV In South Jersey, Troopers Say
A Hainesport man was killed when he was hit by a tractor-trailer after his motorcycle crashed into an SUV, authorities said. Johnny Epperson Jr., 67, died in the crash on Route 206 North in Southampton Township on Sunday, Sept. 15, a state police spokesperson said. An 83-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash in Burlington Township, authorities said Rose Zampino, of Burlington Township, was driving a Mitsubishi sedan north on Route 541 near Kelly Drive at about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, when a southbound Volvo SUV struck her vehicle, Burlington Township police said. Truck Driver, 30, Dies In Fiery NJ Turnpike Wreck
A 30-year-old Pennsylvania man died in a fiery crash on the New Jersey Turnpike over the weekend. The unnamed Huntingdon Valley man was behind the wheel of a Volvo bobtail heading south on the Turnpike in Bordentown when it collided with a Volvo semi-trailer around 4:25 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, New Jersey State Police Detective I Jeffrey Lebron said. The Volvo bobtail traveled off the road, collided with the sound barrier, and became engulfed in flames. As a result of the crash, the driver died. There were no other injuries reported. A 72-year-old man from South Jersey was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer, authorities said. John Amendolia Jr. of Hammonton died in the crash at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, according to Winslow Township police.
