Some South Jersey school districts are canceling classes or delaying the start of school before a winter storm that's expected on Tuesday, Feb. 13. The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Mercer, Middlesex, and Monmouth Counties. There is also a coastal flood warning in Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties. Nearly 428 acres of a wildlife area in Cape May County has closed until 2026 ahead of a $37.5 million restoration project, the state's Department of Environmental Protection said. A large indoor sports complex is coming to Cape May County, featuring year-round space for sports like soccer and lacrosse. The commission for the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) unanimously approved a resolution to enter a lease agreement with Aviation Sports Complex LLC. A Cape May County man is facing charges after he's accused of having pictures and videos of child pornography, according to authorities. Patrick Grace, 35, of Middle Township, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 5, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland announced. Yet another December rain storm has come and gone, leaving many New Jersey towns under water. According to the National Weather Service's Philadelphia/Mount Holly office, between one and three inches of rain fell across the area, ending early Thursday, Dec. 28. The town that got the most amount of rain is Washington Township (Warren County), with 3.38 inches, the weather service said.
