Hundreds Without Power In NJ, More Storms Possible Late In The Day
Thousands of New Jersey residents woke up Monday morning, Aug. 19 without power due to Sunday's storm.
And according to the National Weather Service, more stormy weather could be on the way for later in the day.
As of 6:40 a.m., JCP&L was reporting the most outages with the following areas without power: Clinton, 880; Branchville, 150; Hopatcong, 215; Long Branch/Asbury Park, 350; Lakewood, 265.
The National Weather Service said Monday would be cloudy, but will become partly sunny by midday.

Woman Dead, 2 Hurt In Sussex County Jeep Crash Caused By Deer: Police
A 19-year-old woman was killed and two others were hurt after a deer caused a crash on Route 94 in Sussex County Sunday night, state police said.
Jesse Manno, 33, of Branchville, was driving a Jeep Wrangler on Route 94 southbound when he hit a deer and veered into the northbound lanes near milepost 15.1 in Fredon just after 10:25 p.m., NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told DailyVoice.com.
The front of the Jeep crashed into a grass embankment and a Honda Civic driven by Alexander W. Schwenke, 18, of Johnsonburg, along with passenger Zoey C. McClain, 19, of Knowlton.

State Police ID Driver, 54, Killed In Jersey Shore Garden State Parkway Crash
A 54-year-old motorist from Sussex County was killed after her van struck a guardrail and flipped along the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 4:30 a.m. Friday near mile-marker 87.3 on the southbound side of the parkway in Toms River, according to a New Jersey State Police spokesman.
The Ford E350 went off the road to the right, struck the guardrail, and overturned, Sgt. Alejandro Goez said. The driver and passenger were ejected.

Paterson police seized 1,544 heroin folds, a quarter-pound of crack and cocaine combined and 428 illegal pills while arresting several accused dealers -- one of whom was carrying two stolen guns, authorities said.
Narcotics Division detectives watched Tuesday as Doyan D. McDermott, 37, and Jeffrey Taylor, 39, assisted by Huntier Small, 38, served late-morning and early-afternoon drive-up customers outside their East 29th Street home, city Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said.
