Duo Nabbed After Driver Held At Gunpoint In Schenectady, Police Say
Two people have been charged after they allegedly held a taxi driver in the Capital Region at knifepoint and stole money, causing injuries.
Schoharie County residents James R. Parker, age 26, and Nicole Zielinski, age 50, both of Cobleskill, were charged on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
According to New York State Police Trooper Stephanie O'Neil, an investigation determined Zielinski and Parker were being transported by a taxi in Schenectady when Parker allegedly held the driver at knifepoint against their will.

Beacon Man Admits To Assault, Drug Possession
A Hudson Valley man is headed for prison after pleading guilty to a felony charge of attempted assault and possession of narcotics.
Dutchess County resident Rakim Paulin, age 43, of Beacon, pleaded on Thursday, Nov. 14, according to the Dutchess County District Attorney Anthony Parisi.
"The defendant's involvement in both a violent assault and the illegal drug trade shows a clear disregard for the law and the lives of others, Parisi said.

DMV Nabs 3 Running Unlicensed Used Car Dealership In Poughkeepsie
Following a two-year investigation, three Hudson Valley men were nabbed running an alleged unlicensed used car dealership.
The three men, Raed Nesheiwat, age 57; Lakeia Parker, age 41, and Marceise Livesay, age 26, all of Poughkeepsie, were arrested in Dutchess County on Wednesday, Nov. 13, in Poughkeepsie.
According to Water McClure of the state Division of Motor Vehicles, the investigation found that the three sold more than 150 vehicles out of a building and parking lot at 20-22 Pershing Ave., in Poughkeepsie, without a legitimate dealer license.
