'Police Investigation' Causing Delays: Galloway Twp PD
Police are on scene of an "active police investigation" in Galloway Township, authorities said Tuesday, Sept. 9. A crash between two motorcycles on Route 15 in Upper Allen left both riders hospitalized, local police said. The wreck happened just after 1 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025, near the Cumberland Parkway exit, Upper Allen Township Police announced. The rider of a black motorcycle slowed down due to heavy traffic and swerved left to avoid another bike, according to investigators. Tractor Trailer Fire Sparks Heavy Delays On Route 295
A tractor trailer fire shut down a lane and the right shoulder on a major South Jersey highway Friday morning, May 2, causing heavy delays, the NJDOT site shows. The fire broke out on the southbound side of I-295, north of Exit 36 — NJ Route 73, in Mount Laurel Township, as of 11:29 a.m. One of the three lanes and the right shoulder were closed, according to a highway traffic alert. Emergency crews responded to the scene as traffic built up in the area. Drivers were urged to expect delays and use caution.

A 67-year-old man was killed in a chain-reaction crash involving four vehicles on the New Jersey Turnpike in Woodbridge early Saturday, April 19, authorities said. Troopers responded at 3:48 a.m. to the southbound inner roadway near milepost 94.6, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. A Chevrolet Malibu and a Mazda CX-5 were both heading south when the Mazda struck the rear of the Chevrolet, Lebron said. Thirteen people were hurt in a crash on the NJ Turnpike involving a bus carrying military personnel, 6abc reports. The passenger bus had broke down was heading north and was in the right lane and right shoulder when it was struck by a tractor trailer just before 1 p.m. at milepost 25.6 in Runnemede, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. "There were multiple non-life-threatening injuries of occupants on the bus and the driver of the tractor-trailer," Lebron said. 2 Crashes Jam New Jersey Highways
Two separate crashes were causing delays on New Jersey highways Thursday afternoon, Oct. 17. The NJDOT site shows a vehicle overturned on Route 130 in Hamilton Township (Mercer County) in the northbound lanes around 2 p.m. It happened north of I-195 and closed one right lane. Then, on Route 295, a crash took out two right lanes in the northbound lanes south of Exit 40 in Mount Laurel. Delays between 10 and 20 minutes were reported for each.

A boy was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train early Thursday, Aug. 8 in Burlington County, officials said. The crash happened just before 8:20 a.m. and involved a northbound River LINE train at Chestnut Street crossing in Palmyra, NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba said. Service to NJ Transit and Amtrak trains was disrupted for the second time this week on Thursday, June 20 due to both power issues and brush fires along the NJ Turnpike, officials said.
