Nearby Workers, Bystanders Rush To Help Fiery Crash Victims In South Jersey
Bystanders and employees at nearby businesses were praised for helping the two victims of a fiery crash in Atlantic County, authorities said. Egg Harbor Township police responded to the crash near 2511 Fire Road at around 9:37 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, the department said in a news release. The crash was in front of the Bellevue Commons business complex. Investigators said a 31-year-old Ocean City man was driving a 2022 Ford Ranger south on Fire Road and a 24-year-old Margate man was driving north in a 2008 Hyundai Accent. A taco restaurant in Margate said it's permanently closing in the middle of a "record-breaking summer" on the Jersey Shore. TacocaT said in a Facebook post that it has decided to shut down its South Essex Avenue restaurant after its final day on Sunday, July 7. You might want to check your credit card statement if you recently took a popular bridge to get to Margate. In a Facebook post, the Downbeach Express said it double-charged some customers on Thursday, June 27. The privately owned toll bridge between Northfield and Margate charges drivers $2.50 each way or $1.85 for Express Pass users.
