A Wall Township doctor agreed to give up his license after he was indicted and accused of sexually abusing a child for more than a decade, authorities said. Cornelius Gallagher voluntarily released his medical license through a temporary court order on Monday, Sept. 9, Attorney General Matthew Platkin said in a news release on Thursday, Sept. 12. Sundown Swimmers At Unguarded NJ Beach Rescued
Three swimmers were rescued while in the water after sunset in Ocean Grove, officials said. Rescuers were called to a swimmer in distress near the pier at the Main Avenue beach at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, the ANSWER team said in a Facebook post. The report was quickly upgraded to three swimmers in distress. When emergency crews arrived, they saw the three swimmers screaming for help. An Asbury Park man was indicted in a deadly triple shooting at a Toms River hookah lounge nearly two years ago, authorities said. Authorities have identified a Keansburg man shot and killed by police while wielding a chainsaw, along with the officers involved in the Memorial Day incident. Willem Roman, 46, died from his injuries on Friday, June 14. Attorney General Matt Platkin announced his death in a news release on Monday, July 1.
