At 2:30 a.m., a Hyundai Sonata struck a pedestrian on Hurffville Crosskeys Road near Chestnut Ridge Middle School in Washington Township, police. Pedestrian Killed In Route 40 Hit-And-Run In South Jersey, Troopers Say A Vineland man was killed in an early morning hit-and-run crash in Pittsgrove Township, authorities said. Allen Miller Jr., 45, died in the pedestrian crash on Route 40, a state police spokesperson said on Monday, Sept 30. Troopers responded to the wreck near milepost 20.5 at around 2:56 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28. Investigators said an unknown vehicle was heading east on Route 40 when it struck Miller and left the area. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remained under investigation.

Man Indicted For Driving Drunk, Killing Atlantic City Pedestrian, Prosecutors Say A Pleasantville man was accused of driving drunk in a crash that killed an Atlantic City man, authorities said. A grand jury indicted Maykol Mendozarizo, 38, for second-degree vehicular homicide on Tuesday, July 16. The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced the indictment in a news release on Friday, July 19. Mendozarizo was the driver in a deadly pedestrian crash on Albany Avenue in Atlantic City on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023.
