A New Jersey man was arrested after police said he led officers on a chase that ended when his passenger jumped from the moving car.
Stephen A. Parker, 62, of Budd Lake, was stopped on Friday, Sept. 19, at 11:51 p.m. on Route 46 in Mount Olive, after officers noticed his Toyota’s registration was expired, Mount Olive police said.

A New Jersey woman was arrested after fleeing police and being tracked down hours later at a New Jersey motel, authorities said.
On Wednesday, Sept. 17, Officer Gregory Bulick was on patrol in Saddle River when a white SUV sped past him while driving recklessly, the department said in a press release.
Bulick attempted a traffic stop, but police said the driver, later identified as Kaitlyn Slicker-Abulteen, of Warwick, NY, accelerated even more after he activated his emergency lights and sirens. For safety reasons, Bulick ended the pursuit and issued a BOLO to nearby departments.

A 44-year-old Flushing, NY man was arrested and charged after he impersonated an FBI agent and tried to scam someone out of $21,000 in Clinton, authorities announced Thursday, Sept. 11.
A resident told officers he was contacted by a man, later identified as Dengjin Chen, who claimed to be an FBI agent, cautioning him of unauthorized access to his bank account, Clinton Township police said.

A Bogota man killed in a Route 17 crash earlier this month was facing a civil lawsuit for an unrelated car accident that allegedly caused serious injuries, court records show.
Edwin B. Coreas, the 30-year-old driver killed in the Thursday, March 6, Hasbrouck Heights crash, was named in a civil action filed in Bergen County Superior Court just days before his death, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice.
