Multiple children and one adult were left stranded at least 25 feet above the ground after a ride malfunctioned at Adventureland in Farmingdale, prompting a large rescue operation Friday, June 19, responders said. The Wave Twister, the park's newest attraction, stopped with 15 passengers onboard, according to the East Farmingdale Volunteer Fire Company. Victim Airlifted, Another Hospitalized In Sussex County Crash
One person was flown and another taken by ambulance to hospitals following a two-car crash in Sussex County on Wednesday, June 5, authorities said. At 12:33 p.m., the Frankford Township Fire Department responded to Morris Turnpike and Kemah Lake Road for a crash for a two-car crash with a person trapped in the vehicle, firefighters said. First responders worked for 20 minutes to remove the patient before he was airlifted to a local trauma center for treatment, firefighters said. A second patient was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition is unknown.
