Woman, 84, Extricated After Car Ends Up On Top Of Another Vehicle In Fair Lawn
An 84-year-old woman was extricated after sending her car into the outside of a CVS in Fair Lawn, then landing on top of another vehicle on Friday afternoon, June 12. The woman was attempting to turn and park in the handicap spot when she went over the sidewalk into the exterior of the CVS on River Road, police at the scene tell Daily Voice. She ended up on top of an Acura sedan, authorities said. The woman was freed with help from firefighters and evaluated by Fair Lawn paramedics on scene. She did not appear to be injured, authorities said.

SUV Flips Into Midland Park Mayor's Garden After Missing Home By Feet
An SUV rolled into Midland Park Mayor Harry Shortway's front yard in a violent rollover crash Friday morning, June 5, sending two people to the hospital, according to incident photographer Boyd A. A black Honda Pilot involved in the collision rolled over after striking a curb and narrowly missed Shortway's home at Erie and Franklin avenues, before coming to rest in a garden bed on the mayor's property, according to Loving. Three police officers were killed and two others critically injured during a shooting in North Codorus Township, York County, on Wednesday, Sept. 17, Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Col. Now, after suffering his own emergency aboard a helicopter, the veteran flight paramedic is being remembered for a lifetime of service and compassion. The black box from the Jet Rescue Air Ambulance that crashed in Northeast Philadelphia has been located, providing investigators with a key piece of evidence to determine the cause of the deadly crash, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) announced Sunday evening, Feb. 2. Sundown Swimmers At Unguarded NJ Beach Rescued
Three swimmers were rescued while in the water after sunset in Ocean Grove, officials said. Rescuers were called to a swimmer in distress near the pier at the Main Avenue beach at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, the ANSWER team said in a Facebook post. The report was quickly upgraded to three swimmers in distress. When emergency crews arrived, they saw the three swimmers screaming for help.
