Hector Collazo, 60, died after being struck by a Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) train in Hicksville Tuesday morning, July 8, as Daily Voice reported. Emergency crews responded to the scene, near New South Road and Mineola Avenue, around 9:40 a.m., where Collazo was struck by an eastbound train and pronounced dead at the scene, according to an MTA spokesperson. Pascack Valley Line Service Delayed After Pedestrian Hit At NY Station (Developing) Train service is delayed at a station in Rockland County after a pedestrian was struck, police said.  The incident happened at the Nanuet Station on Wednesday, May 14 at around 3:30 p.m. An investigation is now underway at the scene, MTA officials confirmed to Daily Voice.  The Clarkstown Police Department confirmed that a pedestrian was struck by a train at the station.  The Pascack Valley Line is now delayed as a result, officials added.
