2,600 Layoffs Expected At NJ Hospital Chain Nearly 2,600 people employed by a North Jersey hospital chain are expected to be laid off by the end of the year, according to a newly-filed WARN notice. This month, Carepoint Health filed notices with New Jersey's labor department indicating layoffs would begin on Dec. 12 at healthcare centers in Bayonne, Jersey City, and Hoboken. Man Spat At Security Staff At Morris County Hospital: Police A 28-year-old Morristown man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, Aug. 28 with assaulting a healthcare worker at a hospital in Denville, authorities said. At 12:30 a.m., officers responded to St. Claire's Hospital on a report of an assault on hospital staff, Denville police said. Upon arrival, hospital staff told police Jordan K. Ali was combative with hospital staff members and spat on security staff while being restrained, authorities said. Ali was charged with assault of a health care worker, police said.
