3AM Motorcycle Stop Turns Up Gun, Drugs, Knife: Clifton PD
Two men are facing weapons and drug charges after Clifton police stopped a motorcycle early Sunday morning, Sept. 14, authorities said.
At about 3:14 a.m., Officer Benjamin Bressel saw a 2024 Zhilo motorcycle with two riders near Lexington Avenue and Highland Avenue, Lt. Robert Anderson said. The driver wore a ski mask, and the passenger had no helmet. The motorcycle turned onto Van Winkle Avenue into Passaic before parking, and Bressel conducted a stop, according to Anderson.

Two brothers from East Orange are accused of running a heroin trafficking ring that stretched from New Jersey into The Bronx, where investigators say they uncovered a multi-million-dollar heroin mill.
Detectives began tracking the operation earlier this year, following the Darling brothers from their East Orange home into multiple counties, Essex County Sheriff Amir D. Jones said. Three people fled on foot following a shooting in Phillipsburg on early Monday morning, June 30, authorities said.
At 1:49 a.m., officers responded to Mercer Street at River Street on a report of a shooting, Phillipsburg police said. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the shooting occurred and recovered a stolen vehicle out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and a handgun, police said.
There are no known injuries and only property damage was discovered, police said. Three men fled the scene on foot, police said.
