Cops ID Man Killed By Driver Who Veered Off Route 46 In Hackettstown A 64-year-old Independence Township man was identified as the victim struck and killed by a vehicle that veered off Route 46 and onto the sidewalk in Hackettstown Wednesday morning, Jan. 29, authorities said. At 10:52 a.m., a 2018 GMC Canyon, driven by a 61-year-old Flanders man, veered off the road and hit Roynaldo Tabeta while he was walking on the sidewalk in front of the CVS Pharmacy on Main Street, Hackettstown police said.
