Massive Hotel Proposed To Replace Shuttered Jersey Shore Amusement Park: Reports A developer is planning to bring a new purpose to a shuttered and iconic amusement park on the Ocean City boardwalk, according to reports. Wonderland Pier owner Eustace Mita said he wants to create a 252-room hotel on the site of the theme park that closed in October, abc6 Action News reported. Mita is also the developer and CEO of ICONA Resorts. The $135 to $155 million proposal would preserve Wonderland's famous Ferris wheel and carousel. Atlantic City Man Admits To 2018 Killing While Stealing SUV, Prosecutors Say An Atlantic City man admitted to killing a Ventnor City man while trying to steal his SUV almost six years ago, authorities said. Angelo Delgado, 22, pleaded guilty on Thursday, Aug. 22 to first-degree felony murder, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. He was charged in the death of 61-year-old Sunil Edla on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018. Ventnor City police responded to a 911 call about a man lying in a driveway on North Nashville Avenue at around 8:04 p.m. Officers found Edla with gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
