Pets Rescued, Red Cross Helps Family After House Fire On Jersey Shore: Firefighters A home caught fire in a Lower Township neighborhood, officials said. Firefighters responded to the two-story house on Redwood Avenue in the Villas section of the township at around 1:41 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Villas Fire Company said in a news release. First-arriving crews saw heavy flames coming from the top floor of the home. Firefighters found fire on an outside deck spread into the attic. Six People Displaced After Condo Complex Fire In South Jersey, Red Cross Says At least six people were without homes after a fire broke out at a condominium complex near Mays Landing, officials said. Firefighters responded to the Woodlands Condominiums at around 11:33 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, the Laureldale Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company said in a Facebook post. No injuries were reported in the fire. Crews remained at the scene for about three-and-a-half hours. The Red Cross said it was helping six people from three families. 24 Condos Destroyed By Fire In East Windsor Residents of 24 condominiums in East Windsor were displaced by a fire, authorities said. On Monday, June 10, at approximately 4:30 p.m., East Windsor Township police responded to a reported structure fire at building K of the American Way Condos on Avon Drive.  The first responding police officers observed heavy smoke and flames coming from the second floor on the north end of the structure.
