Teen Football Player Airlifted After Losing Feeling In Legs In Sussex County, Police Say
A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital after he was injured playing football on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 21, in Sussex County authorities said. At 8:11 p.m., the boy was playing football at Station Park in Sparta Township when he temporarily lost feeling in his legs, Sparta Township Police Captain Thomas Snyder said. An Atlantic Air helicopter transported the boy to Morristown Medical Center, Snyder said. The young athlete regained feeling in both legs before the helicopter arrived, but was still hospitalized for for further evaluation, Snyder said.

One of two pedestrians struck at an intersection in Morris County on Monday, July 1 has died, police said. The two pedestrians, a male and female who were not identified, were struck by a Ford F-250 at Ridgedale Avenue and Brooklake Road in Florham Park, local police and the county prosecutor's office said. The vehicle had been turning onto Ridgedale Avenue from Brooklake Road, police said. Possible Drowning Probed At North Jersey Lake, Police Say
Police were investigating a possible drowning at a North Jersey lake over the weekend. A man in his 70s was seen entering Lake Hopatcong but never came out on Saturday, June 22, a spokesperson for the Roxbury Police Department said. The call came in just after 7:30 p.m., bringing the Roxbury Fire Department, New Jersey State Police, and the Morris County Sheriff's Office to the scene. As of Sunday, June 23 at 10 p.m., the investigation remained active, the spokesperson said.

Pedestrian Airlifted, Driver Charged In Park Ridge DWI Crash
A pedestrian was airlifted to the hospital and the driver who hit her outside a Park Ridge hotel arrested on DWI assault-by-auto charges, responders at the scene said. The 30-year-old New York woman was taken to the trauma unit at Hackensack University Medical Center after she was struck by a 2021 Ram pickup truck headed west on Brae Boulevard outside the Marriott Park Ridge shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, June 8, they said.
