Pets Rescued, Red Cross Helps Family After House Fire On Jersey Shore: Firefighters A home caught fire in a Lower Township neighborhood, officials said. Firefighters responded to the two-story house on Redwood Avenue in the Villas section of the township at around 1:41 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Villas Fire Company said in a news release. First-arriving crews saw heavy flames coming from the top floor of the home. Firefighters found fire on an outside deck spread into the attic. Sergio Jimenez, 30, was arrested on Wednesday, May 29, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland said in a news release.
