The NJDOT site said police were on scene of a crash investigation in the northbound lanes south of Route 202 as of 11 p.m. The crash itself happened just after 8:30 p.m., preliminary reports say. Driver Killed Overnight In Single-Car Morris County Crash, Police Say One person was killed in a single-car crash on Route 15 in Morris County on Sunday, May 19, authorities said. Jefferson Township police responded to the southbound side of the roadway near mile post 3.5 around 1:25 a.m., Jefferson Township Police Capt. Robert Bush said. The vehicle was occupied only by the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Jefferson Twp. Fire Co No. 2, Jefferson Township Rescue Squad, Morris County Crash Team, and the office of the Morris County Medical Examiner assised at the scene. The accident is still under investigation.
