Actor Gene Hackman, Wife, Dog Found Dead Academy Award-winning actor Gene Hackman, his wife, and family dog have died at their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The cause of death has not been confirmed, but foul play is not suspected, the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement after they were found dead late Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 26. Rabid Raccoon Fought With Dogs In South Brunswick: Police A raccoon has tested positive for rabies after an altercation with dogs in South Brunswick, authorities said. The fight between a resident's dogs and a raccoon occurred on Deans Lane on Saturday, July 20, according to South Brunswick police. The raccoon was retrieved by animal control and sent for testing.  On Wednesday, July 24, the township's Health Department was notified that the raccoon tested positive for rabies, police said.
