'Swatting' Incident Brings Central Jersey Police To Fake Emergency
Monroe Township police responded to an apparent “swatting” incident on Wednesday, July 3, authorities said. The Monroe Township Police Communications Center was contacted by a representative from the 988 Suicide and Crisis Hotline who reported a suicidal subject in the Reserve neighborhood in Monroe Township, police said. The subject reported to the hotline that he had shot his mother in the leg, poured gasoline all over her, and was looking for a lighter in order to set her on fire, police said. Horse Farm Stabbing Suspect Wanted For Attempted Murder Out Of Warren County, Police Say
Police in Blairstown are looking for a man wanted for a stabbing on Tuesday, June 2, authorities said. The suspect stabbed another man on Meadow Cliff Lane on a horse farm in Hardwick Township, Blairstown police said. The man is Hispanic, 5'1" and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with a dragon on it and blue jeans, police said. He is believed to still be on foot in the area of the farm in Hardwick Township, police said. If seen, call 911, police said.

Staten Island Motorcyclist, 27, Killed In Route 287 Crash
A 27-year-old motorcyclist from Staten Island died in a weekend crash on Route 287 in Somerset County, authorities said. Durmish Golesh was heading north on a Kawasaki when he rear-ended a Hyundai, overturned, and struck the back of an Infiniti around 11:25 a.m. on Saturday, June 15 in Far Hills, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Golesh was thrown from the bike and died, Lebron said. No other injuries were reported and the crash remains under investigation.

UPDATE: A man wanted for questioning in a New York City shooting pulled out a gun in the lobby of a Woodbridge hotel and was killed in a shootout with police, authorities said.
