Shelter In Place Lifted At FDU Florham Campus, Person With Gun Arrested: Authorities
A shelter in place was lifted at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Florham Campus on the early morning of Thursday, Nov. 21, the school said. On the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 20, Fairleigh Dickinson received a report of a person with a gun on campus, Joseph Vitiello, Director of Public Safety at the school said. Police were notified and a shelter in place was issued, Vitiello said. The order remained in effect for several hours as local police conducted a search for the individual, Vitiello said. Voters nationally prefer Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris over her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump, a brand-new survey by Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey shows. The seven-point margin (50 to 43) is largely due to race and gender, the FDU poll shows. John Russo never intended on becoming a police chief. He was going for an FBI agent, but while growing up in Rutherford and meeting his friends' parents and coaches who were police officers, he decided to switch gears.
