Car Crashes Into Building In Summit: Authorities
A car crashed into a townhouse in Summit on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 25, authorities said. Firefighters and police responded to the scene at Norwood Avenue at 9:43 a.m., a spokesperson for the City of Summit said in a release. Upon arrival, crews discovered that a resident’s vehicle had crashed through an internal wall in the garage, causing mild structural damage, authorities said. Three People Hospitalized In Three-Car Elizabeth Crash: Authorities
Three people were hospitalized after a car crash in Elizabeth on the early morning of Tuesday, Sept. 24, authorities said. The crash between three vehicles occurred around 6 a.m. at Lafayette Street and Spring Street, Ruby Contreras, a spokeswoman for the City of Elizabeth said. The extent of the injuries is unknown and the crash remains under investigation, Contreras said.

Newly-released bodycam footage shows the arrest of a 30-year-old woman who police say was under the influence when she crashed her car, which had been carrying a 16-year-old child in New Jersey. DUI Bergen County Driver Kills Motorcyclist In Passaic, Prosecutor Says
A 32-year-old Bergen County man has been charged in a deadly crash that happened Friday, Sept. 20 in Passaic County, authorities said. Johnny Aguilar, of Carlstadt, was operating a Ford Excursion when he struck a 59-year-old motorcyclist at the intersection of Paulison Avenue and Pennington Avenue, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Chief of Police Luis Guzman said. Arriving officers found the victim, Carlos Ocasio-Rodriguez, in the middle of the intersection, Valdes and Guzman said. A 28-year-old Summit man was arrested and charged on Sunday, Aug. 4 after he attempted multiple times to break into a residence in an attempt to steal a car, police said.
