Two NJ Senior COs Charged With Sexually Assaulting Female Teen Inmate, AG Says
Two New Jersey corrections officers were accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a teen at a juvenile detention center, authorities said. Senior corrections officers William Young, 35, of Marlton, and Gary Nieves, 53, of Burlington City, were arrested and charged, Attorney General Matthew Platkin said at a news conference on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Service Restored After Water Main Break In Hoboken
Service has been restored to Hoboken residents after a water main break Tuesday morning, Oct. 29, officials said. The 12-inch leak occurred around 8 a.m. at 5th and Clinton. Water pressure throughout the system was stabilized as of noon.

Teenager On Scooter Critical After Jersey City Crash: Authorities
A 17-year-old is in critical condition after he struck a vehicle while riding a scooter on the afternoon of Sunday, Oct. 27 in Jersey City, authorities said. The crash occurred at Route 440 and Danforth Avenue, near the intersection, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said. The teenager was transported to a local hospital with apparent life-threatening injuries to his head, Wallace-Scalfione said. He was last stated to be in critical condition, Wallace-Scalfioe said. The investigation is ongoing, Wallace-Scalfioe said.

Parking Violation Leads To Man's Arrest For Firearm Violation: Guttenberg PD
A 27-year-old West New York man was arrested after police found a gun in his car while serving a parking violation in Guttenberg on Sunday, Oct. 27, authorities said. At 12:41 a.m., police were addressing a parking complaint at 69th Street and John F. Kennedy Blvd East, Guttenberg police said. All Lanes Of Route 17 Closed By Overturned Construction Equipment In East Rutherford
Traffic was halted along Route 17 Tuesday morning, Oct. 29 due to debris that fell off a tractor trailer in East Rutherford. As of 10 a.m., all southbound lanes, south of East Union Avenue, were closed. Traffic cameras show cars backed up in the southbound lanes and what appeared to be overturned construction equipment. A 66-year-old Newark teacher died Saturday, Oct. 26, after being struck by a vehicle at Arts High School on Wednesday, Oct. 23, authorities said. At 10:39 a.m., police responded to the 500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard on a call of two pedestrians struck, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
