A theft ring targeting Home Depot, Lowe’s, and other retailers caused nearly $3 million in losses across 19 states — including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Virginia — authorities announced on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Eight men have been arrested and a ninth is wanted after investigators uncovered a network of more than 30 people handling thefts, transportation, storage, and resale of stolen merchandise, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele and Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel said.

Caleb Ethan Park, of Brooklyn, lost control of his 2008 Triumph Street Triple motorcycle on the ramp from the eastbound Jackie Robinson Parkway to the northbound Van Wyck Expressway around 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, the NYPD said.

An 82-year-old Toms River man died after his car crashed into a home in Burlington County on Monday, Oct. 26, authorities said.
At 2:03 p.m., George Sears was operating a Subaru SUV with his wife in the passenger seat, on County Road 563 south in Woodland Township, Christopher Postorino, a spokesperson for the New Jersey State Police said.

Armed Barricaded Man Apprehended: Absecon PD
A 65-year-old Egg Harbor Township man was taken into custody after he barricaded himself with a gun in Absecon Monday, Oct. 26, authorities said.
At 8:30 a.m., officers were requested to assist Egg Harbor Township police in locating Robert McNeill, a suspect in an arson investigation, Absecon police said.
McNeill was located by officers at the Sports Complex, at 1000 Morton Ave. and was armed with a handgun, threatened suicide, and barricaded himself inside his vehicle, police said.
