Pets Rescued, Red Cross Helps Family After House Fire On Jersey Shore: Firefighters A home caught fire in a Lower Township neighborhood, officials said. Firefighters responded to the two-story house on Redwood Avenue in the Villas section of the township at around 1:41 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Villas Fire Company said in a news release. First-arriving crews saw heavy flames coming from the top floor of the home. Firefighters found fire on an outside deck spread into the attic. Manchester Township police responded to a structure fire on Riverside Drive at around 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, the department said in a news release.
