Fourth Precinct officers responded to a call about barking dogs near Centre Avenue at 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, according to Nassau County police. Upon arrival, officers discovered the puppies crammed into the cage and immediately transported them to the Town of Hempstead Animal Control for medical assessment and treatment.
