5 People Arrested After PA House Surrounded Following Shooting: Police A "shots fired" incident turned standoff, has led to five arrests in Columbia Borough, police announced on Friday evening, Nov. 1.  The Columbia Borough Police received several calls about shots fired in the 400 block of Avenue K at 1:30 p.m., as detailed in the release.  Officers arrived to find "several shell casings in the roadway as well as a house that was struck by gunfire," as stated in the release. Firefighters Injured In PA House Fire, Spotted By Amazon Driver: Officials (Photos) An Amazon Delivery Driver spotted a house fire that ended up sending two firefighters to the hospital on Thursday, Oct. 31, officials say. After the Amazon Driver made the 911 call, firefighters from both Pennsylvania and Maryland were dispatched to the blaze at the home near Sunspot and Spur trails in Carroll Valley Borough at 2:25 p.m. They arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames, but thankfully no one was home. Two firefighters were taken to an area hospital for medical attention while battling the blaze. They have since been released.
