Again? Sinkhole Reopens On Route 80: Njdot New Jersey drivers on Route 80 must be feeling deja vu. A sinkhole has reopened on Route 80 in Morris County on the morning of Monday, Feb. 10, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said.  All Route 80 eastbound lanes are closed at Exit 34-Route 15 in Wharton, NJDOT said. NJDOT crews are on site to evaluate the situation, determine the extent of the damage, and stabilize the area in order to design a repair, NJDOT sad. Route 80 eastbound remains closed after the 40-foot by 40-foot sinkhole appeared on the morning of Thursday, Dec. 26, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. Dump Truck Overturns In Sussex County, Driver Hospitalized: Fire Department A person was hospitalized after they were trapped in an overturned dump truck Sussex County on Tuesday, Aug. 6, authorities said. At 3:02 p.m., first responders were dispatched to Route 15 southbound in Sparta Township and found a dump truck overturned with a driver trapped, the Sparta Township Fire Department said.  Sparta Township Fire Department The driver was out of the truck by the time first responders arrived and was treated and transported to a nearby hospital, firefighters said. Firefighters worked to secure the scene and eventually up righted the truck, authorities said.

The teen driver from Sparta was heading south on Route 15 near milepost 17.2 in a BMW when he veered off the right side of the roadway and struck a 43-year-old woman from Lafayette, NJSP Sgt. State Of Emergency Declared In Morris County Town Over Unsafe Bridge Jefferson Township Mayor Eric Wilsusen announced he is declaring a state of emergency after an unsafe bridge near Route 15 had to be closed. Wilsusen, who issued his declaration on Thursday, June 6, said the state made the decision to close the bridge earlier this week over Rockaway River over safety concerns about the bridge's structural integrity.  The closure of the bridge led to Route 15 southbound near Cedar Terrace Road to be closed indefinitely.
