The disappearance of Oklahoma mother Karen Denise Wells during a cross-country road trip in 1993 has haunted investigators and her family for over three decades, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Wells, 23, was driving from Haskell, Oklahoma, to visit a friend in Bergen, New Jersey, when she vanished on April 12, 1993. Her journey ended mysteriously in Perry County, PA—nearly 200 miles from her destination.

Missing Morris County Girl Found Safe On Train In North Carolina: Prosecutor
A 15-year-old Morris County girl, who had been missing since last month, was found safe on the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 13, authorities said.
Investigators determined the girl was on an interstate train heading south and contacted police in North Carolina, who were able to locate her on a train, unharmed, and took her into protective custody, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Morris County Sheriff James Gannon said.

Body Of Missing Boater, 29, Recovered Day After Vessel Capsizes On NJ Lake, Police Say
The body of a 29-year-old man was recovered from a New Jersey lake more than 24 hours after the boat he was on capsized, police said.
The Old Bridge man, who was not identified by name, was recovered by search teams on Prospertown Lake in Jackson Township just before 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, Jackson Police Chief Matthew Kunz said.
Jackson police received a 9-1-1 call reporting a capsized boat on the lake around 2:25 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, the chief said.

Missing Paramus Mom Found, Details Remain Vague
After a search that surpassed 24 hours, Paramus resident Heather Mashini has been found.
The 39-year-old Mashini was found Saturday night, Aug. 3, more than a day after she'd been reported missing, Paramus police said.
Police did not disclose Mashini's condition, nor did they say where she was found.
Mashini had last been seen on Friday, Aug. 2 around 1:30 p.m., police said, who did not release her condition.
