Driver Hospitalized After Vehicle Overturns On Route 78: Njsp A person was hospitalized after their vehicle overturned on Route 78 in Hunterdon County on Saturday, Sept. 14, authorities said. Two Toyotas were traveling west on Route 78 in Clinton Township when they crashed into each other, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. As a result of the crash, one of the passenger cars ran off the right side of the road, overturned, and the driver became entrapped, Lebron said.  The driver of the overturned vehicle was airlifted to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Lebron said. John and Patrick Mahoney, both of Washington Township, died in a collision on Tuesday, June 4 at Union and Mays Landing Roads, as previously reported by Daily Voice.  Police said John was driving a Toyota Yaris when he failed to yield to a Ford F-250 operated by an 81-year-old, which caused the crash. Jefferson Township police responded to the southbound side of the roadway near mile post 3.5 around 1:25 a.m., Jefferson Township Police Capt. Robert Bush said. The vehicle was occupied only by the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Jefferson Twp.
