NJ Drug Dealer Found With Ammo, Heroin Sentenced For Raping Child, Prosecutor Says A 32-year-old Jefferson Township man was sentenced to 23 years in prison on Friday, May 31, after pleading guilty to raping a child, authorities said. Police initially began investigating Michael Figueroa for drugs, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Morris County Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Jefferson Township Police Chief Paul Castimore said.  A search of his home turned up much more: Handguns, a rifle, 11 bricks of heroin, a bag of cocaine, ammunition and a digital scale, authorities said. Hackettstown Man Sexually Assaulted 15-Year-Old: Prosecutor A 33-year-old Hackettstown man was arrested and charged on Thursday, May 23 with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old, authorities said. Matthew Canavan was identified as the suspect by Independence Township Police and charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of criminal sexual conduct and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Acting Warren County Prosecutor Anthony Picione said. Canavan was known to the victim, Picione said. He is currently being held at the Warren County Correctional Facility, Picione said.
