NJ Murder Victim, 21, Killed As Puppy Tried Protecting Her, Campaign Says The victim of a recent murder that rattled a small New Jersey town has been identified in various social media posts and by a campaign launched for her family as a 21-year-old animal lover. Amanda Pulver, of Hackettstown, was shot and killed on Thursday, June 27, the Warren County Prosecutor's Office said. Amanda's 8-month-old puppy, Dunkin, was also apparently killed. As reported by Daily Voice, the shooting happened that morning on Alphano Road in Independence Township.
