This County Led New Jersey's Early In-Person Vote In The 2024 Election
Monmouth County voters led the Garden State for early in-person voting in the 2024 Presidential election, officials said. County clerk Christine Hanlon said Monmouth was the top county in the state for early voting. Almost 130,000 voters cast their ballots during the nine-day in-person period from Saturday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 3. With 510,816 registered voters, that means about 25 percent of Monmouth voters took advantage of the option to vote before Election Day. Early Voting In New Jersey Is Days Away: Here's Everything You Need To Know
Early voting is already underway in some states. In New Jersey, early voting begins on Saturday, Oct. 26 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 3. According to NJ Voter Information Portal, each county will designate early voting locations open Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Rutgers Student Fighting To Register Young Voters: 'Your Voice Does Matter'
A Rutgers University student from Hasbrouck Heights is on a mission to get young adults registered to vote in time for the 2024 Presidential election. Alejandra Afanador, 19, spent the summer as an "RU Voting Ambassador," according to Rutgers Today.
