Homicide Suspect Killed By Police Officers At NJ Hotel, AG Says
Two police officers are recovering from injuries after being shot overnight at a hotel in Woodbridge while attempting to track down a homicide suspect. The suspect was shot and killed at the scene, according to New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin. A jury has convicted a Burlington man for the 2021 fatal shooting of a man in Camden, authorities said. Lesure Funari, 25, of Burlington City, was found guilty on Thursday, June 6, of first-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Takwail Bailey of Camden.
