Two-Month-Old Dies In Elizabeth: Authorities
A two-month-old infant died in Elizabeth on Monday, Oct. 21, authorities said. Police responded to a report of an unresponsive infant at Pingry Place, a spokeswoman for the city said. Both parents were working, and their eldest child was watching his younger siblings, including the infant, when the infant had a medical emergency, authorities said. The infant was pronounced dead at Trinitas Hospital, authorities said. The Division of Child Protection and Permanency was notified, authorities said. No foul play was suspected and the incident remains under investigation, authorities said.

Newark Infant's Death Under Investigation: Authorities
A 7-month-old infant died in Newark on Sunday, Sept. 1, authorities said. At 9 p.m., police responded to Avon Avenue and South 10th Street and found an unconscious and unresponsive infant, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. The infant was pronounced dead, authorities said. The investigation remains ongoing, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said.

Baby Dies After Being Left In Car In Morris County: Prosecutor
Authorities in Morris County are investigating the death of a 6-month-old infant on Wednesday, July 17. Police were called to a parking lot near South Ridgedale Avenue at Route 10 in East Hanover around 1:30 p.m. where they found the baby girl in a parked vehicle, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said. Paramedics attempted to render lifesaving aid and the baby was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
