'Active Police Investigation' Reported In Gloucester County (

There was an "active police investigation" Thursday morning, June 27 in Glassboro, authorities said. Their investigation was in the area of Route 322 West and Delsea Drive. Residents were asked to avoid the area at about 9 a.m. until the alert was lifted shortly before noon. "The area is now clear and open to travel, there is no active threat to the public. However, the incident is still under investigation and information will be forthcoming," police said in a Facebook update. Glassboro police were not immediately available for more details. A woman in Lakewood has been charged with two counts or murder and weapons offenses in the deaths of her two children, authorities announced. An armed Clifton homeowner confronted and apparently scared off a group of vehicle thieves by firing a gunshot into the air, authorities said. Police in Cape May County were looking for two men wanted in an aggravated assault investigation, authorities said. The North Wildwood Police Department posted two pictures of the suspects on Facebook on Sunday, June 9. A man was seriously injured when he was thrown from his motorcycle in a crash in Atlantic County, authorities said.
