Three people were airlifted with life-threatening injuries in a wild crash at an old-school New Jersey ice cream shop this weekend, police said. A 65-year-old Mays Landing resident was behind the wheel of a Honda Pilot heading south in the right lane of Route 73, just before noon on Saturday, June 8, winslow police said. A Mays Landing woman pleaded guilty to killing her husband during an argument in the couple's home on Christmas night, authorities said. Marylue Wigglesworth, 53, submitted a guilty plea on Tuesday, June 4 for second-degree manslaughter, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. Friends and former teammates were remembering a Mays Landing teen who died after crashing his motorcycle, according to a fundraising campaign. A GoFundMe page was created for 19-year-old Jeremiah St. Surin after he was killed in the crash at around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, June 1. A Mays Landing man was indicted for murder after stabbing his mother for the second time in about nine years, authorities said. A grand jury indicted 53-year-old Sean Daly on Wednesday, May 22, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. He was facing charges in the Wednesday, Mar. 20 death of his 74-year-old mother Melba Daly, who was also from Mays Landing. A grand jury indicted 75-year-old Eileen Bright on Wednesday, May 22, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. An Atlantic County corrections officer was among three people accused of a scheme to smuggle contraband into the county's jail, authorities said. In a news release, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said 33-year-old Christopher Piccioni of Swedesboro was charged on Monday, May 20. A bicyclist was killed in a crash on Black Horse Pike on Friday, May 17, police said. Arthur Herz, 61, of Mays Landing entered the westbound lanes on a bicycle around 8:20 p.m. when he "made impact with" a 21-year-old man's Jeep Cherokee, Hamilton Township police said. It happened near milepost 45.5. Herz, who was not wearing a helmet was pronounced dead at the scene.
