Halloween Fireworks Sparked Multi-Acre Morris County Wildfire, Residents Say Firefighters were battling yet another wildfire in Morris County that locals say was caused by fireworks set off on Halloween night. The multi-acre wildfire was still burning Friday morning, Nov. 1 at Craigmeur Lookout near Notch Road in Rockaway Township, the New Jersey Forest Fire Service said. Residents are asked to avoid the area, the NJFFS said. A nearby homeowner tells Daily Voice they heard what sounded like gunshots and then saw fire in the woods.
