A Seaside Park woman's charges were upgraded when a restaurant owner and well-known fly fisherman died more than a month after a hit-and-run crash. Genell Mcinaw, 50, surrendered to Seaside Heights police on Tuesday, Nov. 5, Ocean County First Assistant Prosecutor Michael Nolan Jr. said in a news release. A fugitive wanted for shooting a man in the face nearly 14 years ago in Brick Township has been captured, authorities said. Marciano Sanchez, 40, was arrested in New York City on Wednesday, Oct. 2, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. Sanchez's last known address was in Queens. Driver High On Drugs Caused Crashes, Fought Road Worker On Garden State Parkway: Troopers
A Bayville man was accused of driving while high on drugs when he caused several crashes on the Garden State Parkway before assaulting a construction worker, authorities said. Jonathan Ferro, 21, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 28, a state police spokesperson said. Authorities have identified a Keansburg man shot and killed by police while wielding a chainsaw, along with the officers involved in the Memorial Day incident. Willem Roman, 46, died from his injuries on Friday, June 14. Attorney General Matt Platkin announced his death in a news release on Monday, July 1. A man wielding a chainsaw was shot and critically wounded by police sent to his Keansburg home on a welfare check, authorities said.
