Long Island Man, 23, Dies When Car Crashes Into 18-Wheeler On NJ Turnpike: Troopers A Long Island man was killed when his car crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. Donald Butler of Wheatley Heights, died in the crash in Westampton Township on Tuesday, Oct. 15, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson said.  Troopers responded to the northbound side of the turnpike near milepost 43.9 at around 9:56 p.m. The crash happened just south of Exit 5, which is the interchange for Burlington-Mount Holly Road. Road Worker Struck During I-295 Crash: Njsp A road worker was struck along Interstate 295 in Mercer County, authorities said. Troopers responded to the crash at about 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 28 on I-295 north milepost 76.4 in Ewing Township.  Based on a preliminary investigation, a collision occurred between a Hyundai and a Freightliner box truck subsequently causing the Hyundai to strike a pedestrian road worker, according to New Jersey State Police.
