Rescuers Save Dog Caught In Tide In Jersey Shore Inlet, Firefighters Say A dog was rescued from an inlet in Cape May County, officials said. The Stone Harbor and North Wildwood fire departments responded to the Hereford Inlet for a water rescue at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, the Stone Harbor firefighters union said in a Facebook post. Firefighters received a report that a dog named Bruno was swimming far from shore and in distress. A boat crew went to the inlet and quickly found Bruno struggling to swim in the tide. Two People Saved When Sailboat Runs Aground Along Jersey Shore, Firefighters Say Two people were rescued after their large sailboat ran aground in Ocean City, officials said. Emergency crews responded to the beach near 22nd Street at around 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, the Ocean City Firefighters Association said in a Facebook post.
