'Senseless Act': Jersey Shore 22-Year-Old Dies In Late Night Shooting, Prosecutors Say Police were looking for whoever shot and killed a Whitesboro man in Woodbine, authorities said. Daquann Smith, 22, died in a shooting on Friday, Oct. 25, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release on Tuesday, Oct. 29. State troopers responded to the scene on the 300 block of Madison Avenue at around 11 p.m. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene and the investigation remained ongoing.
