Toms River School's Music Teacher Shared, Received Child Porn: Prosecutors
A Toms River music teacher was accused of sharing child pornography online, authorities said. Christopher DeCesare, 31, of Matawan, was charged with second-degree distribution of child sexual abuse materials. Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago announced his arrest in a news release on Friday, Sept. 13. Investigators said DeCesare was distributing child porn to other users through social media and received it on a personal email account. A Barnegat woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Galloway Township, authorities said. Angeletta Sheppard, 33, died in the crash on Thursday, Sept. 12, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release. A Forked River man will spend more than four decades in prison after he was convicted of strangling his wife to death and leaving her body on the side of a Monmouth County road, authorities said. Route 73 To Remain Closed Overnight Following Crash That Downed Power Lines: Police
A portion of Route 73 will remain closed overnight following a crash on Thursday, Sept. 12. The crash involved a vehicle that struck a utility pole in front of the Lukoil at 921 North Route 73 in Mount Laurel around noon, police said.
