Contractor Conned Woman Out Of $341K In Home Repairs He Never Did In South Jersey: Prosecutor
A 32-year-old man from Gloucester County is accused of defrauding an elderly woman out of $341,000 in home repairs he never did, authorities said.
On Tuesday, July 23, Christopher Fuscellaro of Mantua Township was arrested and charged with theft, theft by deception and being an unlicensed contractor, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.
Between Sept. 7, 2022, and Nov. 16, 2023, Fuscellaro portrayed himself as a licensed contractor in Washington Township "and utilized various means of fraud and deception to defraud the elderly victim," the prosecutor said.

Thousands Without Power As Storm Intensifies In NJ
Thousands of New Jersey residents were without power as of Tuesday evening, Jan. 9, as the storm intensified.
A State of Emergency ordered by Gov. Phil Murphy went into effect at 5 p.m., with state and local officials urging residents to stay off the roads.
As of 7:25 p.m., more than 2,000 residents in Hunterdon County were in the dark, according to JCP&L, including 123 in Delaware; 729 in Lambertville City; 733 in Raritan; 437 in West Amwell, and more.

Friends, Family Mourn Loss Of 2 Women Killed In Head-On Burlington County Crash
Family members are raising money for a victim of a head-on crash that killed two drivers earlier this month in Burlington County.
Maureen Hanna, 22, of Pleasantville, and Latoya Sotomayor, 36, of Egg Harbor Township, both died in the crash on Nov. 1 on Route 563 in Washington Township, as previously reported by Daily Voice.
Melinda Rosa started a GoFundMe campaign to pay for funeral expenses for her niece, Maureen Hanna.
On Tuesday, Nov. 14, a New Jersey State Police spokesman said there was no update on the cause of the crash. It remains under investigation, Trooper Troy McNair said.

2 Drivers Killed In Head-On Crash In South Jersey
Two drivers were killed in a head-on crash in Burlington County, authorities said.
A northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee and a southbound Acura collided on Route 563 near milepost 30 at about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1 in Washington Township, said Trooper Troy McNair, a New Jersey State Police spokesman.
Both the Jeep's driver, Maureen Hanna, 22, of Pleasantville, and the driver of the Acura, Latoya Sotomayor, 36, of Egg Harbor Township, suffered fatal injuries, McNair said.
The crash remains under investigation.
Armed Man Arrested After Foot Chase In Atlantic City: Police
An armed man was arrested by Atlantic City police after a foot chase, authorities said.
On Sunday, July 2, at 9:30 p.m., Detective Christopher Dodson received information regarding a man in the beach block of California Avenue that was in possession of a handgun.
Dodson, along with Detectives Aaron Jones and Eric Evans, and Officer Brandon Bower, located Quadry Wise, police said.
As detectives approached to investigate, Wise began to run, police said.
As he attempted to jump a fence, he was apprehended and taken into custody without further incident.
