Illegal ATV Driver Seriously Injured In Reckless Black Horse Pike Crash, Police Say
An ATV driver was seriously injured after police say he drove recklessly along Black Horse Pike and crashed in Gloucester Township Friday, Aug. 16. The four-wheeled ATV operator was found lying in the roadway while the ATV itself had come to rest in a nearby wooded area near Clementon Avenue around 6:35 p.m., local police said. Police say the driver had "unlawfully and recklessly" operated the ATV on the Black Horse Pike. As a result of this reckless driving, the driver lost control and was ejected from the ATV. Gloucester Township police seek the public's help locating a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday, June 20 on Erial Road by Blackwood Clementon Road, police said. Two vehicles had collided head-on on Erial Blehnheim Road in Gloucester Township just before midnight, the impact of which caused one car to overturn, police said. A fight led to the arrest of a 25-year-old South Jersey man on weapons charges, authorities said. On Thursday, Feb. 2, at approximately 10:15 a.m., the Winslow Township Police Department's Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Unit were dispatched to Dunham Loop in the Berlin section of Winslow Township for reports of an altercation with shots fired.
